Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2025
Last updated: October 28, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how SIA “OffBeat IT”
(registration No. 40203503379), operating the
PageToChat browser extension and related sites
(collectively, “PageToChat”, “we”,
“us”, “our”) collects, uses, and
shares information when you install, access, or use our Chrome
extension, homepage, and any related services (the
“Service”).
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into our Terms
of Service and uses the same definitions. If you have questions,
contact support@offbeatit.com.
Because we are established in Latvia (EU), this Policy is designed to
reflect the GDPR requirements and, where relevant,
other data protection laws.
1. What this
Service actually does (short version)
PageToChat is a browser extension that helps you send content
from the page you are on to an LLM provider you choose. When
you invoke a context-menu action:
- We open the chosen provider in a new browser
tab;
- We pre-fill the model, prompt, and options you
selected;
- We upload or insert the attachments you selected
(e.g. page screenshot, selected text, page content, image you
right-clicked);
- Optionally, we auto-submit the prompt to that
provider.
Important:
- We do not sell or resell LLM usage credits.
- You use your own account with the LLM provider.
- The content you choose to send goes to that provider,
under their privacy policy and terms – not ours.
- For free users, we may show an occasional ad in the
sidebar, but we do not send your page content
or selected attachments to advertisers.
2. Categories of data we
collect
We collect different kinds of data depending on how you use the
Service.
2.1. Data you provide to us
directly
- Account / purchase data (Power User plan): name
(optional), email, payment-related identifiers from
Stripe or ExtensionPay (we don’t store
full card numbers), plan purchased, and timestamps.
- Support messages: when you contact us (e.g. email,
support forum), we receive the content of your message and your contact
details.
2.2. Data the
extension works with (on your device)
To provide the core feature, the extension may read and
package context from the page you are on. This may include:
- Selected text (if you invoked the action on
selected text);
- Page content (with or without HTML, depending on
what you chose);
- Page screenshot (if enabled);
- Image you right-clicked (if enabled);
- Your chosen prompt;
- Your chosen provider/model;
- Your Quick Action configuration (what to attach,
when to auto-send, etc.).
By design, this information is used to fill
in the provider’s page/tab so the provider can process it. This
information is not sent to our advertising
partners.
We treat this as user-initiated context —
you decide on each action what goes to the
provider.
2.3. Configuration & feature
data
We store or allow the extension to store:
- Your Quick Actions (free: 1; power users:
multiple);
- Which provider/model to use for that action;
- Which attachments to auto-attach;
- Whether to auto-submit.
This may be stored locally in the extension storage and/or synced via
the browser mechanisms, depending on your browser configuration.
2.4. Usage and diagnostics data
To run and improve the Service, we may collect limited technical
data, for example:
- Extension version;
- Browser type and version;
- Basic interaction events (e.g. “sidebar opened”, “quick action
used”, “ad displayed”);
- Error logs (to debug failures when a provider changes its UI).
Where possible we collect this in aggregate or in a
form that does not directly identify you.
2.5. Website data
(pagetochat.com)
When you browse our site:
- HTTP logs (IP address, user-agent, referrer,
date/time);
- Cookies or similar technologies needed for
security, payments, or remembering your preferences;
- If you log in or buy something, we get the relevant identifiers from
the payment processor.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your page content or your LLM
prompts to advertisers.
- We do not sell or broker your LLM usage to third
parties.
- We do not secretly send your selected text /
screenshot / attachments to an ad network.
- We do not store your full payment card data (this
is handled by Stripe / ExtensionPay).
We use the data we collect for these purposes:
- To provide the Service
- Opening the provider tab and filling in the prompt/attachments you
selected;
- Saving and executing your Quick Actions;
- Showing (for free users) a sidebar ad.
- To operate and secure the Service
- Logging, debugging, preventing abuse, rate-limiting, detecting
extension breakage when providers change their UI.
- To process payments and subscriptions
- Via Stripe and/or ExtensionPay, including invoicing, billing, and
resolving disputes.
- To improve the Service
- Measuring feature usage and performance in aggregate;
- Understanding which providers/models are used most;
- Improving UX (e.g. default attachment selection).
- To communicate with you
- Service announcements, changes to Terms or this Policy;
- Support replies.
- To comply with law
- Responding to lawful requests;
- Fulfilling accounting or tax obligations.
Legal bases (GDPR): - Art. 6(1)(b) –
contract/performance (to provide the extension and your plan); - Art.
6(1)(c) – legal obligation (e.g. tax, accounting); - Art. 6(1)(f) –
legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse, improving features,
limited analytics); - Where applicable, Art. 6(1)(a) – consent
(e.g. optional cookies on the site, marketing).
- Ads are shown inside the extension sidebar
only.
- Ads are not targeted using the page content you are sending
to an LLM.
- We may count impressions and clicks in aggregate to
know whether the ad slot is working.
- We do not send your page content or attachments to
the advertiser.
If you upgrade to the Power User plan, ads
are not shown.
We may share information in these limited situations:
- With processors / service providers
- Stripe and ExtensionPay for
payments;
- Hosting and logging providers;
- Analytics or error-tracking tools (in minimized form).
- With LLM providers you choose
- When you press “Send,” we fill and/or upload the content into
their page. From that moment, their privacy policy
applies. You should review it.
- For legal reasons
- If required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights,
users, or the public.
- Business transfers
- If we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be
transferred as part of that transaction, subject to safeguards.
We do not sell personal data.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary
for the purposes described above:
- Account/billing data: kept for as long as you have
an active plan and then for the period required by law
(e.g. accounting/tax, typically 5–10 years under EU/national law).
- Support data: as long as needed to resolve the
issue and for quality/security.
- Extension usage logs: for a shorter period, enough
to diagnose issues and defend against abuse.
- Quick Actions / extension settings: kept as long as
you keep them in the extension or your account.
- Ads metrics: aggregated and/or anonymized where
possible.
When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it.
8. International transfers
We are based in Latvia (EU). Some of our processors
(e.g. Stripe, error-tracking, analytics) may be located in or process
data in countries outside the EEA. Where this happens,
we rely on:
- an adequacy decision (if available), or
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), or
- other appropriate safeguards.
You can contact us for more details.
9. Your rights
(EU/EEA/UK and similar jurisdictions)
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Right to access – to know what data we hold about
you;
- Right to rectification – to correct inaccurate
data;
- Right to erasure – to request deletion of certain
data;
- Right to restriction – to limit certain
processing;
- Right to data portability – to receive your data in
a structured, commonly used format;
- Right to object – especially where we rely on
legitimate interests (e.g. limited analytics, ads);
- Right to withdraw consent – where we rely on your
consent.
To exercise these rights, email
support@offbeatit.com. We may need to verify your
identity.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local
Data Protection Authority (for Latvia: Datu valsts
inspekcija).
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect
personal data, including transport encryption (HTTPS) on our site and
restricted access to production systems.
However, no system is 100% secure. Also, remember:
when you choose to send page content, screenshots, or
images to a third-party LLM provider, that transmission
and subsequent storage is under their control.
11. Children’s privacy
Our Service is not intended for children under 16.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you
believe a child has provided us data, contact
support@offbeatit.com and we will delete it.
12. Third-party sites and
LLM providers
When we open a provider tab and upload your content, you are
interacting directly with that site. Their terms and
privacy policy apply. We do not control how they:
- store your prompts,
- use your attachments,
- train or improve their models,
- share data with their partners.
Always review the provider’s policy before sending sensitive or
confidential data.
13. Payments
We use Stripe and ExtensionPay to
process payments. When you make a purchase, some of your data will be
processed by them under their terms and policies
(e.g. device identifiers, anti-fraud data, last 4 digits of card,
transaction IDs). We receive only what we need to identify your purchase
and provide your plan (e.g. success/failure, payment ID, plan,
timestamp).
We do not store full payment card numbers.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (for example, if
we add a new provider integration, change the way ads are shown, or
change processors). If we make material changes, we
will notify you (for example, via the site, in-extension notice, or
email if we have it). The updated Policy becomes effective when
posted.
If you do not agree with the changes, you should uninstall
the extension and stop using the Service.
